Melanie's third CD, Live at Blues Alley, receives a review in the Oct/Nov 2005 issue of Blues Revue magazine (see "Reviews"). In additon, Melanie is interviewed by Modern Guitars Magazine. 

6/05

The premiere issue of the new American music magazine, Elmore, hits the streets with a double CD review of Melanie's two most recent albums, Lonesome Is I and Live at Blues Alley (see "Reviews").  

5/22/05

Melanie's band performs on the main stage at the Chesapeake Bay Blues Fest in MD's Sandy Point State Park. She later opens that night for Taj Mahal at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA.

The Washington Post highlights Melanie in Richard Harrington's "Lend Them Your Ears" Weekend Section feature article (see "Reviews").

Melanie releases her third album, Live at Blues Alley.

2/7/05

Melanie receives the 2004 "Best Blues Recording" award and a "Best Album of the Year" nomination from the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) for her solo acoustic album, Lonesome Is I. In addition, the band receives their second nomination for the "Best Blues Band" award. Last but not least, Melanie is nominated for a second time in the "Best Blues Instrumentalist" category and for a third time in the "Best Blues Vocalist" category.
